About the Author Charlotte Bolland is Collections Curator, Sixteenth Century, at the National Portrait Gallery, London. She has co - authored The Encounter: Drawings from Leonardo to Rembrandt (2017), The Real Tudors: Kings and Queens Rediscovered (2014) and Les Tudors (2015). Her other publications include contributions to Leadership and Elizabethan Culture (2013), Elizabeth I & Her People (2013) and Painting in Britain 1500 – 1630: Production, Influences and Patronage (2015).
