She died in 1981. Barbara Fox is the author of several books, including When the War is Over, Is the Vicar in, Pet? and Bedpans and Bobby Socks, which she co-wrote with her mother, Gwenda Gofton. She is also the editor of Eve's War, the wartime diaries of Evelyn Shillington. She is a Geordie who lives in West Sussex with her family.
