Review
As joyously anarchic as Horrid Henry himself, these two little boy and girl Vikings will have your children laughing out loud. ― Cressida Cowell
Viking twins Hack and Whack make me thank Thor and Odin and the whole Norse pantheon that I don't have to play with them in real life! A treat for kids who wonder what could happen if they broke every possible rule, but so ridiculous that they'll forget to try because they're laughing too hard. Steve May's illustrations burst with wild energy; I genuinely guffawed at his drawing of a pin-the-tail-on-the-ogre game. A wonderfully absurd, anarchic romp. ― Sarah McIntyre
Hack and Whack are truly terrible and their madcap adventures are fast, furious and always hilariously funny ― LoveReading4Kids
Spaced words in a clear and simple typeface, and energetic caricatures by Steve May make this comic romp suitable for early readers ― The Sunday Times, Children's Book of the Week
Plenty of anarchic japes... Simon deploys her familiarly slick comedy to relate the mishaps of the Viking twins Hack and Whack ― The Daily Telegraph
Two Terrible Vikings delights in overturning social mores. Simon has a well-tuned ear for child-friendly jokes... With hints of A A Milne and Cressida Cowell, this book will be immensely appealing to children of five and up ― Literary Review
Two Terrible Vikings is ace! Francesca Simon's words fizz with naughtiness and Steve May's anarchic, funny illustrations match perfectly. Young readers will love them ― Claire Barker
Funny and exciting... the wild, laugh out loud humour level is well pitched for 5-8 year olds... a great new series for early readers ― BookTrust
A humorous early reader with a cast of brilliantly named characters... Fans of Horrid Henry will love this book ― Mini Travellers

This viking duo will give Horrid Henry a run for his money!
What if your parents WANTED you to behave badly?
Set in the snowy fjords of a Viking kingdom, the terrible twins, Hack and Whack, are proud to be the best worst vikings. Nothing stops the marauding pair as they steal boats, loot a birthday party, track a troll and sail off to raid Bad Island with their friends Twisty Pants and Dirty Ulf.
Well, almost nothing . . .
With whip-smart dialogue, and accompanied by Dennis the Menace style anarchic cartoon imagery, this series is as sharp, funny and compelling as you would expect from the reigning Queen of Comedy.
'As joyously anarchic as Horrid Henry . . . will have your children laughing out loud.' Cressida Cowell
'A treat for kids. A wonderfully absurd, anarchic romp.' Sarah McIntyre
