About the Author Roger McGough is an award-winning poet and broadcaster. He writes poetry for both adults and children, and presents Radio 4's Poetry Please. He was awarded an OBE for services to poetry in 1997 and a CBE in 2004. He was honoured with the Freedom of the City of Liverpool in 2001.
