A brutal murder. A deep-buried secret. The stunning finale to the bestselling Lewis Trilogy.

Fin Macleod, now head of security on a Lewis estate, is investigating a wave of illegal game-hunting on the island. This leads him to the enigmatic 'Poacher', a man who has eluded capture for years.

Meanwhile, a resurfaced peat bog on the estate reveals a perfectly preserved body of a man who was violently murdered over fifty years ago. Fin's old friend, Detective Sergeant Gunn, is brought in to investigate the "Peat Bog Murder."

As Fin's hunt for the poacher and Gunn's investigation into the past converge, they uncover a dark secret from their own childhoods that will shatter the island's present.
