About the Author Né en 1935 à Cincinnati, en Ohio, Jim Dine est diplômé des Beaux-arts de l'Université de l'Ohio en 1957. Depuis il est devenu l'un des artistes contemporains les plus importants et un des plus prolifiques. Sa carrière, sans pareil, s'étend sur 60 ans et son oeuvre fait partie de nombreuses collections publiques et privées. Il a publié de très nombreux livres aux éditions Steidl, une bonne vingtaine, incluant Birds (2001), The Photographs, jusqu'ici (2003), Hot Dream (52 livres) (2008), A Printmaker's Document (2013) et My Letter to the Troops (2018).
