Garden Planner: A Practical Book Collection encourages you to look ahead at what you want from your garden, to plan around those needs, and to create a personalized garden that you can enjoy for years to come. Over 50 example garden plans are described in detail - grouped into the most popular styles. All shapes and sizes of garden or terrace are taken into account - L-shaped or sloping, patio or roof terrace, small or large. Alongside the plans are practical step-by-step photographs showing how to achieve key elements in the design, such as laying gravel, maintaining container plants, or constructing a decorative trellis. Planning is even more vital where space is limited, and Gardening in Small Spaces contains countless ways in which you can create stylish effects and even produce an impression of length and depth. This essential guide will show you how to make the most of even the smallest outdoor space. After explaining how to accurately measure, prepare the site and plan your design, the second section explains how to put your plan into action. There are step-by-step instructions on garden basics, including laying lawns and paving, as well as fences, walls and paths. The final section gives advice on choosing plants to give texture, colour, shape and form to your garden. With the right preparation, and this handy set of books to guide you along your way you can create the garden of your dreams.
