A finalist for the 1960 Hugo Award, this is a classic, heartfelt, and mind-bending masterpiece.

The Sirens of Titan is an outrageous romp through space, time, and morality. It follows Malachi Constant, the richest and most depraved man on Earth, who is offered a chance to take a space journey to distant worlds with a beautiful woman at his side.

Of course, there's a catch. The invitation comes from Winston Niles Rumfoord, a man who has been converted into pure energy after flying his spaceship into a "chrono-synclastic infundibulum." Rumfoord now exists as a wave phenomenon, materializing on Earth every fifty-nine days. He knows the past and future, and he has a plan for all of humanity...

From a Martian invasion of Earth to the caves of Mercury and a 200,000-year-old alien message on Titan, this novel is a brilliant satire that explores free will, the purpose of human history, and the search for meaning in a chaotic universe.

About the Author

Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) was one of the most influential American writers of the twentieth century. He was known for his satirical literary style and the science-fiction elements in his work. His experiences as a prisoner of war during the Allied firebombing of Dresden informed his most famous work, Slaughterhouse-Five. His other classics, including Cat's Cradle and Breakfast of Champions, blend dark humour with profound humanist themes. In 2015, he was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame.
