A 70-year-old murder. A U.S. government plane that vanished in 1944. The seventh book in Peter May's gripping Enzo Files series.
In a sleepy French village, the body of a man shot through the head is disinterred from a centuries-old grave. In his 1950s-style clothes, he is identified as a local man who everyone thought had died in the war.
But this is not the only mystery for forensics expert Enzo Macleod. The man's death is linked to a U.S. intelligence agent who was researching a lost, priceless wine, a vanished government plane, and a secret hiding place for the French Resistance.
Now, Enzo finds himself in a race against time to solve a 70-year-old mystery, all while a modern-day killer watches his every move.
