About the Author
Stella Caldwell is a children's author who has worked in book publishing for many years. With two children of her own, she enjoys making all sorts of subjects accessible to a young audience, and has written widely on topics ranging from history and mythology to science and the natural world.
Roald Dahl was a spy, ace fighter-pilot, chocolate historian and medical inventor. He was also the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG and many more brilliant stories. He remains the World's No.1 storyteller.
Quentin Blake's books have won numerous prizes, including the Whitbread Award and the Kate Greenaway Medal. In 1999 he was appointed the first ever Children's Laureate, and in 2002 won the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration.
